Fanoos Bangalore Now In Dubai, And Worth The Hype

Natasha Dury

There is something special about a place that has been doing one thing exceptionally well for decades and Fanoos absolutely delivers the best meat dishes. Originally from Bangalore and loved since 1975, Fanoos has officially landed in Karama, and after trying it, I completely understand why people are so emotionally attached to this brand.

The star of the table was definitely the meat as every dish was smoky, juicy, flavour-packed and deeply satisfying in that way only properly grilled comfort food can be. Every bite felt like it came with history and while the kebabs are delicious, the show stopper was the meat platter. But what really surprised me as well was how much the sauces elevated everything. They were not just sides but part of the whole experience. Bold, punchy, rich in flavour, and very addictive. One of our companions had 3 kinds of sauces and still asked for more.

And then there was the rice. Divine. Fragrant, comforting and so delicious it could easily stand on its own. What I also loved is that while Fanoos is definitely a paradise for meat lovers, our companion who is not into meat was equally impressed. He absolutely loved the biryani rice paired with the different sauces, and the brinjal sauce ended up being a real standout at the table.

Also… can we talk about Limca? We discovered it there and instantly loved it. Crisp, nostalgic, refreshing and weirdly perfect with the richness of the food. Total new favourite.

Fanoos feels like one of those no-fuss, all-flavour spots that people become loyal to for life. Bold food, comforting flavours and a menu that hits differently when shared. We are definitely going back for more meat indulgence.
