Al Bandar Rotana, a luxury five-star hotel with a prime waterfront, has welcomed the Dubai government’s and health local authorities’ efforts in gradually reopening the markets and supporting tourism sector to come back on track.

Ayman Ashor, Cluster General Manager, Al Bandar Rotana and Arjaan by Rotana said that in spite the global pandemic, a promising future awaits the tourism sector in Dubai.

Dubai has started preparations to welcome back tourists and revive its tourism and hospitality sector with a focus on restoring global industry confidence while giving top priority for residents and visitors health and safety by applying international safety rules and regulations

Ashor echoed that they are working closely with the local authorities in implementing all measures to guarantee a worry-free stay for all guests. That’s why Rotana have launched a Safe Space Campaign which we have implemented at Al Bandar Rotana offering a contactless experience to all guests’ barcodes and applying all disinfection measures in order to contain the spread of virus.

Also, as reported earlier, Dubai, likely, will start welcoming tourists once again from July 2020 after putting a stop on tourist arrivals to fight against COVID-19.

In 2019, Dubai welcomed a record 16.73 million tourists, a growth over the previous two years, driven by surging Chinese, Russian and Omani visitors. Dubai, which was ranked fourth in Mastercard’s annual Global Cities Destination Index, generated the most tourist dollars of any city worldwide in 2018 with an overnight international visitor spend of nearly $31 billion, eclipsing the $20 billion brought in by Bangkok.
