Ribs, Beats & Dessert Goals at FRANK Meat & Taps

Natasha Dury

From the second we walked in to Frank in Bluewaters, the vibe was perfect in the best way with hip-hop playing, people laughing, lights low but not too dark, and that cool industrial look that makes everything feel instantly Instagrammable. It gives New York energy but in Dubai, and I love that.

We started with meat cubes and they were juicy, perfectly seasoned and addictive. The corn dog was such a fun throwback moment and was crispy outside, soft inside with zero regrets. Then the smashed burger? Proper comfort food. Messy in the best way, crispy edges, juicy centre, and just the right amount of sauce.

But let’s talk about the ribs because they deserve their own fan club. They are huge. Like actually huge. Super tender, glazed beautifully, and that slow-cooked flavour hits immediately. You don’t even need to try hard as they just fall apart. Definitely the star of the table.

The beef quesadilla was creamy and rich and honestly perfect for sharing (or not sharing, depending on your mood).

And then the dessert. I am still thinking about it. The homemade Napoleon with cherry jam was light but satisfying. The pistachio Kunafa Fondant? That was a cultural crossover moment in the best way as it was crunchy, molten, sweet, dramatic. And the chocolate lava cheesecake was pure chaos (the good kind). If you are going, do not skip dessert. I repeat. Do. Not. Skip.

What I loved most though? The staff were actually so friendly and chill. Not robotic. Not hovering. Just attentive and warm, which makes such a difference when you are out with friends and family. And with the big portions, big beats and big energy it is defenitely the place to be for meals, celebrations and an excuse to have the best ribs in town.
