Dr. Huda Al Matrooshi

It is always a pleasure to meet with Dr. Huda Al Matrooshi who is widely regarded as an expertise across a broad spectrum of specialized disciplines ranging from bilateral relations to fostering trade and commerce, community welfare initiatives and mentoring women in leadership.

Dr. Huda is a member of the Emirates and Abu Dhabi Business Women Council, Owner and chairman forAncestors Heritage Factory, and a partner in food and Beverage concepts such as Saj Al Feerej, Chocolate Republic,Salad Boutique and BaeetOmai as well as the founder of the Emarat al Mutakamela for retired people.

On the academic front, she is a research scholar and has held multiple board appointments, most recently serving as Board Member and Government Representative of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Executive Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council and Member of Abu Dhabi Centre for Corporate Governance among other appointments.

Dr. Huda is a Doctorate of Business Administration from the Abu Dhabi University and holds a Higher Diploma in Management and Establishments of incubators from Cambridge College of Britain, Master’s Degree in Cultural & Creative Industries and is determined to continue her career advancement in future.

Her areas of expertise include fostering bilateral trade, commercial relations, international representation and trade advisory. What deserves a special mention is her extensive network of contacts within the local and international business, community, particularly with respect to India.

Dr. Huda is one of those individuals, and ‘getting things done’ and driving results through collaboration, partnerships, and relationships. She dedicated her professional career from being a young graduate who joined Oil and Gas Sector in 1991, Abu Dhabi, to become the first female member of the Extended Leadership Team. She started her career in the Public relations and cooperate communication division and then diversified to corporate excellence division manager position.

Later on, Dr. Huda was promoted to Vice President of the General Services Division, as the chairwoman of the sport and recreation committee and a member of the Tender Board.

In addition of serving in a number of roles at various governmental entities, including but not limited to: Member of Board of Trustees at ADNOC Schools to 2016, Board Member of Abu Dhabi Business Women Council, Emirates Business Women Council   2017; Board Member of UAE Fencing Group as a first Emirati holding General Secretary role, member at the Olympic strategic committee, chairwomen for the Asian Women’s federation , board member at the Dubai Police Academy  2019 and Executive Advisory Board Member of Abu Dhabi University’s College of Business Administration.

Dr. Huda is passionate about restructuring strategies, business management and systems. As a support to advance her knowledge and public, she took the opportunity to be a part time faculty member at Abu Dhabi University and presented a research paper titled ‘Developing framework for SMEs in Tourism sector in UAE’ in a conference.

She also presented a research paper titled ‘Analyzing the factors promoting innovation in Emirati women owned SMEs: AHP approach’ during the international conference on organization and Management organized by Abu Dhabi University. Her article titled ‘Prioritizing the factors promoting innovation in Emirati female owned SMEs: AHP Approach’ prepared by Dr. Huda is published in the international Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management.

Dr. Huda has also written and published a book “Thank You Khalifa” in 2014, in order to express her gratitude to a leader who is a pioneer in empowering potential national women to higher responsibilities.

With an enthusiastic and genuinely friendly attitude, Dr. Huda radiates a sincere passion for delivering value and benefits to her surrounding people. She had been rewarded with various awards and recognitions throughout the years and it was a pleasure being by her side in Kuala Lumper recently when she received the Muslim World Rania Awardat the OIC International Business Centre’s 9th Muslim World Business and Investment Zone annual trade exhibition and conference.
